Cambodia has official language is Khmer, though French is still spoken by the older generation. But English is gaining in popularity and many schools and universities offered this language more than other if compare to the foreign language, and it is used widely in tourist areas. |

CURRENCY |
The currency of money is Riel. Where the money started from the price of 50; 100; 200; 500; 1000; 2000; 5000; 10000; 20000; 50000; 100000. And the exchange rate to the US dollar by 4000Riel = 1$. It is very easy in Cambodia for the free and open markets where you can exchange your money such as US Dollar, and the other currencies as France Franc, Yen, Bath, Don, Hong Kong Dollar, Australian Dollar, and many more where they can be exchanged at Banks or local markets that are located in all major towns.
Cheques and Credit Cards are accepted by most banks or some hotels and restaurants, but only in Phnom Penh and Siem Reap and must pay 2-5% for commission. The ATM is available in Cambodia, through the operation by many banks in Cambodia. |

Cambodia is in the tropic area where the hot and raining season is always changed during a year. You can buy any kinds of drink which are available in the super markets or shops. |

The country had its reputation for the superior silk weaving, metal work and woodcarving. Many items sold in the markets where you can buy those stuffs. |

TRAVEL TIP |
Electricity in this country is 220 volts. And the hour is need plus seven hours GMT. The country is in the same time zone of neighboring Thailand, Vietnam and Laos. Light clothing is recommended. During the dry season, which is a little hot, a light sweater may be needed during the evening. It is recommended to bring along a comfortable pair of walking shoes, wide brimmed hat and sunglasses. If you would like to buy something bargaining is a need. |

IMMIGRATION REQUIREMENTS |
Tourist visas are required and can be obtained in advance or upon arrival at the airport in this country. And the price of stamp is US$25 with a photo. Passports must be valid for at least six months from the arrival date and must have one entirely blank page available for the visa. Guests are advised to check with their nearest Cambodian embassy or consulate. An international departure tax of US$25 per adult and US$13 per child (two to 11 years old) is applicable. The domestic departure tax is US$6 per adult/child. |
